Master of Surgery (MS) or Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in General Surgery along with a recognized medical qualification and registration with the Central or State Medical Council.
Upper age limit is 45 years as on 28 October 2026 with relaxations as per state rules.

Bio-data and Interview
The walk-in interview is scheduled for 28 October 2026, with reporting up to 3:00 PM.
The interview will be held at the HOD, Surgical Gastroenterology, Chamber, IGIMS, Patna- 14.
There are a total of 2 vacancies under the 89 days residency programme.
Candidates must have MS/DNB in General Surgery, an MCI recognized PG qualification, and registration with a Central or State Medical Council.
Rs. 67,700/- NPA plus usual allowances as admissible for Senior Resident in the institute.
The application fee for UR/EWS/BC/EBC candidates is Rs. 1000/-.
