About Recruitment

• The High Court of Karnataka has announced an internal promotional recruitment drive for 79 District Judge posts under the 25% Limited Departmental Competitive Examination quota.
• This notification is exclusively open to eligible serving Senior Civil Judges within the Karnataka Judicial Service and is not open to the general public.
• Selection of candidates will be based strictly on merit through a competitive written examination followed by a viva-voce.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be currently serving as a Senior Civil Judge with a minimum of 3 years of service in that cadre.
• Must have completed a minimum of 7 years of total service combined in the Civil Judge and Senior Civil Judge cadres.
• Must have attained the minimum age of 35 years as of the notification date.

Attempt Limits

• Eligible candidates are restricted to a maximum of 3 attempts to appear in this LDCE.

Document Specifications

• Photograph: White background, 5cm length x 3.6cm breadth, maximum 50KB in JPG format.
• Signature: Signed on white paper with black ballpoint pen, 2.5cm length x 7.5cm breadth, maximum 25KB in JPG format.
