About Recruitment

The Civil Defence & Home Guards Department, Meghalaya, Shillong has announced enrolment for trained Home Guards Volunteers into 558 Part-Time Guardsman and Equivalent Ranks (Volunteers) positions.
Successful volunteers will serve in the Meghalaya Border Wing Home Guards Battalion across remote border regions of Khasi, Jaintia & Garo Hills bordering Bangladesh.

Engagement Details

Volunteers are engaged on a purely temporary and voluntary basis for a period of one year, subject to performance extension.
Deployed under Wages, Highly Skilled Category with monthly honoraria and applicable risk allowances.

General Instructions

Candidates must arrange their own lodging and boarding for the interview process as no TA/DA will be provided.
Canvassing in any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
