About Recruitment

• Wildlife Institute of India invites offline applications for 3 Scientist-C posts under Pay Level-11 on a direct recruitment basis.
• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree awarded in Wildlife Sciences along with relevant research publications and fulfill the age and category criteria.
• The selection process comprises a screening committee shortlisting, a written examination carrying 70% weightage, and a personal interview carrying 30% weightage.

Desirable Professional Experience

• Area 1: Assessment of wildlife habitats (terrestrial/aquatic), including use of RS & GIS, with at least 02 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Area 2: Ecology or conservation of endangered species, with at least 02 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Area 3: Humanities, Indian Knowledge Systems, or biodiversity conservation, including experience in human-protected area interface & implementation of livelihood extension, with at least 02 publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Written Examination Pattern

• Comprises subject-specific Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Includes 1/3rd negative marking for incorrect answers.
• Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for UR/EWS/OBC and 40% for SC/ST/PwBD.
